Accessibility Statement
Accessibility of this website: the measures taken, known gaps and how to contact us.

factolio wants factolio.org to be usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who rely on assistive technology. This statement describes the measures taken, the limitations we are aware of and how to reach us.
Our approach
We treat accessibility as part of building and maintaining this website, not as a separate task. Whenever a page is added or the design changes, we check that the content can still be read with a screen reader, used with a keyboard and enlarged in the browser. This statement covers the pages published under factolio.org.
What we do
Pages are built with semantic HTML: headings follow a single order, lists are marked as lists and links say where they lead. Navigation and content form separate regions, the language of each page is declared, and informative images have alternative texts while decorative ones are marked as such.
Body text, links and buttons reach a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1. Because sizes are relative, zooming in or increasing the font size in the browser does not break the layout, and every part of the site can be operated with a keyboard.
Conformance
Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We describe the site as partially conformant, because a few elements still fall short of individual criteria; pages are reviewed regularly and problems are fixed as they are found.
Reporting a barrier
If you come across a barrier on this website, or cannot find information you need, please tell us by email at [email protected] or by telephone on 0118 565 5855. It helps to name the page, describe what happened and mention the browser or assistive technology you used; we aim to answer within five working days.
Other ways to reach us
If a page on factolio.org does not work for you, the same information can be obtained without using the website. We can be reached by telephone on 0118 565 5855, by email at [email protected] and by post at 14 Kings Road Business Yard, Reading RG1 4AB. On request we will forward the content of a page in another form, for example as a plain text document.
Known limitations
Some pictures are general illustrations with a short alternative text rather than a full description.
Preparation of this statement
This statement is dated 28 October 2026 and is based on a self-assessment by factolio, not on an external audit. We tested the navigation, the contact form and the main page types ourselves with a keyboard, browser zoom and a screen reader, and we review the text once a year and whenever the website is rebuilt.
